How do I navigate using a mouse on my Android TV box?

I was wondering how I can navigate using a mouse?

All I can do is right click the mouse. 😕
How can I switch between open apps?

Getting to the drop down on top is a pain in the butt!
It’s possible but very fiddly.

Any help would be great.
